So, I thought I would give you a little rundown on who I am and my background experience. I have always been a creative person at heart. When I was 15 years old, I wanted to be a fashion designer.
After school finished, I began studying it but quickly realised I was awful at sewing. Before knowing what my next career move was I jumped on a plane at 20 years old and spent 3 years living and travelling abroad living in London, Brighton, Greek Islands, Scotland and Manchester.
This then led me to my next love and career β travel and tourism, where I spent 10 years working in the tourism industry, first as a reservations and travel agent and then moving into a travel digital marketing role with a well-known travel company, exactly a week after I graduated from my Diploma of Marketing at Business College.
It was in this new role where I was able to work on my writing and marketing skills and learn how to design. I spent 3.5 years working for a great leader who I always considered my mentor. He was always the one to challenge my beliefs but push me further. Even though I really loved what I did, I just knew that I wanted more… this lead me to create a digital marketing freelancing business and step out of my corporate comfort zone and into the agency world. I spent 3 years working for media and marketing agencies in very diverse and fast-paced environments with a variety of industries, while freelancing on the side.
The only thing was, the roles I were in stifled my creativity, and it wasn’t long before I felt the effects of burn out. After a few more hard lessons and many intuitive whispers, I realised how much I love to write and create! I have so much passion, loyalty and drive – why don’t I try and use that energy in building something of my own? So, at the start of 2018 I designed my logo and business cards, created my website and launched – thus, NW Creative was born!
Now, I am using my passion, drive and energy to help small to medium business owners with their own businesses, whether it’s creating professional and eye-catching website content, writing a clever and informative blog article, designing a flyer or other marketing collateral, or helping my clients navigate their way through the start-up phase – I absolutely love what I do. Being in business for yourself is a an empowering and character building path that grows you as a person.
